The Parisian association carries out various support activities, with the purpose of helping the less fortunate in finding a job and thus obtaining economic and social stability. Professional chef training is one of these activities and it is coordinated by head chef Vincent Piette. Chef Vincent wants to offer these people an accelerated training in the culinary field using his great expertise, skills and his valuable knowledge. Thanks to this open, dynamic and flexible environment, La Marmite is a very hospitable place where everyone can speak their mind, expressing their ideas and using their resources. The result is the creation of small culinary art works.

La Marmite in Paris: globally inspired plates to create an open mentality

Since people who gather together at La Marmite come from all around the world, Chef Vincent Piette’s creations are a combination of different flavours with a strong global inspiration. As a matter of fact, they unite spices and peculiarities belonging to the most various world food cultures and create something unique. In this way an open-minded culinary world is created, even though the personal touch of Chef Vincent is always taken into high consideration. In particular, the cuisines of eight cultures are represented: Tibet, Sri Lanka, Tunisia, Somalia, Mali, Ivory Coast, Congo and, of course, France.

Chef Vincent Piette‘s passion in social services

Vincent Piette was born in Belgium and he has been following his passion for cooking since childhood. Besides, he specialized in pastry, thanks to his studies and his extensive experience in the field. Chef Vincent worked in numerous companies in the luxury hotel sector, in the restaurant industry and in chocolate making, always keeping pace with the innovations in the restaurant industry and remaining in contact with the most famous chefs.

Chef Vincent doesn’t work at Association La Marmite only: when he is not in his kitchen, you can find him at the Moulin Marteau in Thuin, Belgium, where he is currently working on the renovation of an old mill so as to turn it into a hotel and restaurant.
