Singapore, a cosmopolitan city-state, a crossroad of cultures, the 4th financial centre in the world located on the edge of the Malaysian peninsula in the South-East of Asia, is also the second most densely populated country in the world after the Principality of Monaco and has one of the highest concentration of millionaires in relation to the population.
Having more than 5 million inhabitants and a long history of immigration, Singapore’s culinary scene is modern, varied and sophisticated. It is the perfect place where tradition meets the flavours of the future.
Tippling Club is a restaurant with an avant-garde cuisine, opened by chef and proprietor Ryan Clift in 2008. The restaurant has changed the location in 2013. Its concept is to aim for a higher form of bond between culinary preparations and cocktails creations, so that haute cuisine meets a more entertaining approach. This is why the customers are guided and immersed into the creation of both dishes and cocktails, with the aim to allow him/her to experience the full magic of the creative process.
This is exactly the reason why the distinctive trait of Chef Ryan Clift’s proposed modern restaurant is fun, playful and refreshing. The culinary experience of Tippling Club is a mixture of theatrical ambience and experimental cuisine of high quality.
In its new location, Tippling Club continues to associate talented cuisine with world-renowned cocktails, pushing the combination of ingredients to the extreme in order to create a culinary experience that is constantly evolving. In 2013, Chef Ryan Clift’s experimentation and boldness have been rewarded multiple times at important events. Tippling Club was the winner of both “Restaurant of the Year” and “Bar of the Year” categories at Singapore’s World Gourmet Summit (WGS). In 2014, it even made it to the final.
In response to the continued culinary innovation and offers, Chef Ryan Clift has been included in the list of the 20 best Chefs in the world in 2016 and Tippling Club won the Best Bar of the Year Award at Best and the Best Wine List of wines from all around the world.
We expect great recognitions also in the second half of 2016 for both Tippling Club’s Chef Ryan Clift and Restaurant Manager Marcus Boyle, thanks to the nomination at the Singapore Food Festival 2016.
Both local and international flavours are to be found at Tippling Club, where Chef Ryan Clift chooses Unox oven XVC505EP because of the versatility of his preparations and the need to work with a tech component: oven and chef have the perfect relation to create a mix of flavours that is unique, distinctive and is able to impress customers.
